About

My biography

Elli Asker, an Azerbaijani-Swedish artist behind the lens, brings a unique and captivating vision to her photography, which spans a wide range of styles, from fine art to conceptual photography.

Although Elli holds a degree in political science, her passion for photography ultimately took center stage in her life. She decided to fully dedicate herself to the art of capturing moments and telling stories through the lens.

Her creative journey is a beautiful blend of her rich cultural roots and the vibrant energy of her life in Sweden. Drawing inspiration from various sources, Elli skillfully weaves the stories of her past with the contemporary world around her.

Influenced by both art and cinema, especially the works of Tarkovsky and Bergman, she channels these influences into her photography. Always immersed in new projects, she works diligently to share her creations through exhibitions worldwide.

Her work has garnered international recognition, including prestigious awards like the Sony World Photography Awards Alpha Female Award, Budapest International Photography Awards, Prix De La Photographie, Tokyo International Photography Awards, and the International Photography Awards.

Today, Elli continues her artistic journey from her studio at the Saltskog gård Cultural Association. She is also an active member of the curating group at Galleri Kretsen, enriching the local art scene with her creative vision and experience. Elli Asker’s photography business is officially registered for tax, ensuring a professional and fully compliant creative practice.
